Precautionary Statements

Eye: Causes severe eye irritation. May result in corneal injury. May cause retinitis. Skin: Causes skin irritation. Harmful if absorbed through the skin. May cause skin sensitization, an allergic reaction, which becomes evident upon re-exposure to this material. If absorbed, causes symptoms similar to those of inhalation. Ingestion: Harmful if swallowed. May cause irritation of the digestive tract. Inhalation: Not available. Quinoline paralyzes the respiratory muscles. Vapors may cause nose and throat and bronchial tube irritation, and may cause sore throat, nosebloods, hoarseness, cough, phlegm and tightness in the chest. High exposures can cause nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and trouble breathing. It can can also cause stomach pain, fever, fatigue, difficulty breathing and death from paralysis of muscles needed for breathing. It can cause a dangerous fluid build up in the lungs (pulmonary edema). Chronic: Not available. Can cause damage to the retina. It can also cause the development of a skin allergy with rash and itching.
